Rocco became Saint Pierre's school mascot in the summer of 2006. A lion has been chosen as it is the main feature of the school's badge. The rampant lion on the school badge is considered to be the embodiment of courage, strength and nobleness, appearing in many Belgian and British coats of arms. Following discussions with the children the name, 'Rocco' was arrived at, as 'Pierre' is French for stone or rock.

Rocco has already become quite a celebrity as he has visited many places both in the U.K. and abroad with the children and staff. There is now a waiting list to take Rocco away. He has been to Russia, Sweden, Cyprus, Spain, South Africa, New Zealand and Singapore as well as spending time in the U.K., visiting Roots Hall, the Millennium Stadium, Centre Parks and even getting close up and personal with the Spice Girls!

Rocco certainly gets the name of Saint Pierre to every corner of the globe. To earn his keep, Rocco will now give you some idea of what Saint Pierre has to offer. However, please do try to find the time to visit us as one of Saint Pierre's main attractions is the warmth and friendliness that exudes as this has to be experienced at first-hand.
