Spring Mount is a large detached house in approximately
half an acre of secure, safe and interesting
gardens. The residents are encouraged to take full
advantage of the stimulating environment.
All the doors from the house give free access to the
grounds at all times. This minimises the feelings of
confinement.
The home is registered with the National Care Standards
Commission for twenty-four residents. Inspection reports
are available upon request or can be obtained from CSCI.
There are twenty-two single bedrooms and one double
bedroom. All are furnished and equipped to ensure comfort
and privacy. Residents are encouraged to bring in their
own personal items of furniture, televisions or music
centres to make them feel more at home.

Every room has its own hand basin and call system which
is also linked to the fire alarm. Each room has easy
access to toilets and bathrooms or shower. All rooms
have pleasant views of the gardens.
There are two comfortable lounges, a large one equipped
with television and DVD and a smaller quiet lounge,
with music and sensory lighting. A large sunny conservatory
provides an internal route for active residents who
need that extra walking space. This also gives immediate
access to the grounds and is a delightful area for quiet
moments of contemplation, or where residents can be
with families 'outside-in' when the weather is poor.
The dining room provides a pleasant setting where residents
can
enjoy their meals as a positive, social event. There
is a coffee bar where residents and relatives are encouraged
to participate in preparing drinks and light snacks.
There is always a varied menu, offering a choice of
appetising and interesting food. We organise theme days.
BBQs and parties at times of celebration. Our chef is
fully qualified and involved closely with residents
individual needs. Special dietary requirements are catered
for.
