We come under continual pressure to explain how and
why our philosophy works for us. After all we home no
magic formula, the whole team sees what they do as common
sense or just good sense. But these demands have given
us the opportunity to explore the way we have put our
theories into practice and evaluate just what it is
that we do managerially that allows the positive environment
to thrive.
The culture and values of Spring Mount are unique and
inextricably linked to the philosophy, environment and
staff. For these reasons we have attracted a lot of
media interest and as a result have written numerous
articles for professional journals and published several
articles in both local and national newspapers. We have
been involved in various television documentaries promoting
good practice in dementia care. These include featuring
in World in Action, Link and Sunday Live.
Meeting Peoples Needs
Janet and Jackie are always available for residents
and their relatives and will spend as much time
as necessary in order to help all concerned feel comfortable
with their choice of this Home. We are aware of the
impact on carers and their families of making the decision
for long term care and a full Needs Assessment will
be made to ensure that we feel that Spring Mount is
going to be the most appropriate place for you or your
relative.
We know it can be a very daunting experience visiting
Homes and trying to decide which will be right for you.
Every placement is individual, for some it may be important
for both carers and relatives to have at least One trial
visit. This will give everyone the opportunity to get
a feel of the Homes atmosphere.
Every resident has a Care Plan, which is designed to
meet his or her own individual needs. Ensuring
that all areas of their life including physical. emotional
and spiritual aspects are considered in our mission
to promote well being in each person.
